About BAUER

The one and only person behind BAUER. A Cape Town–based web and product designer building thoughtful and aesthetic websites for people who care about the details. BAUER is a studio of one — which means there’s no confusion at handoff between briefing, designing, and building — just a direct line from idea to interface.

For me, great work lives where design meets functionality. A site can be beautiful but useless, or useful but forgettable; the work I create is neither. My background in product design taught me to ship interfaces that real people actually use — and my quiet obsession with the psychology behind design taught me how to shape them so people not only use them, but enjoy them, trust them, and turn curiosity into action.

What makes someone trust a page, scroll a little further, and click the button. I think about people before pixels, so the result is always clean, intentional, and built to perform.
